We're about 3 hours from Colombo. Most guests come by train — the scenic way — or by bus. Here's how, plus what the weather's doing right now.
The Colombo Fort → Kandy line is one of Asia's most scenic rides — 116 km through tea country, about 2½–3 hours. Sit on the right for the best views.
Fares from ~LKR 350 (2nd class). Reserved seats sell out fast — book ahead at railway.gov.lk. Times can change, so please check before you travel.
Intercity buses leave Colombo (Pettah / Bastian Mawatha stand) for Kandy very frequently — roughly every 15–30 minutes, no booking needed. The trip takes about 3–4 hours depending on traffic.
Buses run from early morning until late evening. A taxi or private car is ~3 hours via the expressway — we're happy to help arrange a pickup, just message us on WhatsApp.
